Pronunciation Guide

The genre of fantasy is—well—fantastic! This is where the creative skill is unleashed with a mighty roar, refusing to be limited by any sort of boundary. Fantasy includes an array of things like worlds, locations, characters, races, artifacts and weapons, languages, and much, MUCH more. It is here where one can escape the confines of reality, opting instead to embark on wondrous journeys through detailed universes.

With exploring a fantastical world comes the age-old question: “Am I pronouncing that correctly?” The way something sounds is easily reiterated by the creator, but as a creator, one cannot simply assume everyone else consuming their time in your fantasy world will automatically possess the knowledge in how to properly say a character’s or location’s name.

This is why, and after a few recommendations from friends, that I chose to create a Pronunciation Guide for many major characters and specific locations from The Argom’s Influence and The Netherid’s Return. As an added bonus, I included two to three characters from book three, The Conjurer’s Heart, in the guide. Which are they, you may ask. That will be my little secret, however, I recommend giving it a go.
